Privacy Policy

Kaya Haiti (“Kaya”, “we”, “us”) operates a marketplace and delivery platform that connects buyers, sellers, restaurants, hotels and drivers in Haiti and the diaspora. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have — including information we receive when you sign in with Facebook or Google.

1. Information we collect

Account information you provide: name, phone number, email address, profile photo and city.
Social login data. If you choose to sign in with Facebook, we receive your public profile (your name and profile picture) and, only if you grant it, your email address. If you sign in with Google, we similarly receive your name, email and profile picture. We use this only to create or access your account and personalize your experience.
Transactions: your orders, bookings, deliveries, saved addresses and recipients.
Location (with your permission): used for delivery and driver features.
Identity verification (sellers and drivers only): an ID document and a selfie, used to verify identity and keep the platform safe.
Device and usage data: to operate, secure and improve the service.

2. How we use your information

Provide and operate Kaya — accounts, orders, delivery, rides and bookings.
Authenticate you, including through Facebook and Google sign-in.
Connect you with sellers, restaurants, hotels and drivers to complete your requests.
Provide customer support, ensure safety and prevent fraud.
Improve and personalize the service.

We do not sell your personal data.

3. Facebook Login & Google Sign-In

When you sign in with Facebook, we request only the public_profile permission (and, if you allow it, email) — the minimum needed to authenticate you and give you a personalized in-app experience, in accordance with Meta’s Platform Terms and the permission’s allowed usage. We do not post to your Facebook account, access your friends, or use this data for any other purpose. You can revoke Kaya’s access at any time in your Facebook settings, and you can delete your Kaya data at any time (see section 6).

4. How we share information

With sellers, restaurants and drivers: only the information needed to fulfil your order or booking (for example your name, delivery address and phone number).
With service providers (hosting, payments, messaging) that process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
For legal reasons or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

We never sell your data, and we never share your Facebook data with third parties for their own marketing.

5. Data retention

We keep your personal data while your account is active. Some transaction records may be retained for a limited period to meet legal, accounting and fraud-prevention obligations, and are then permanently deleted.

6. Deleting your data

You can request deletion of your account and personal data at any time — including data obtained through Facebook Login. Email support@kayahaiti.com with the subject “Account deletion”, or use Profile → Help & support in the app. Full instructions are on our Data Deletion page. We complete deletion within 30 days.

7. Security

We protect your data with reasonable technical and organizational measures, and all traffic is encrypted over HTTPS. No system is completely secure, but we work to keep your information safe.

8. Your rights

You may access, correct or delete your personal data by contacting support@kayahaiti.com.

9. Children

Kaya is not directed to children under 13, and sellers and drivers must be at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version is always the one published on this page, with its effective date shown above.

Nous collectons les informations de votre compte (nom, téléphone, e-mail, photo), et, si vous vous connectez avec Facebook, votre profil public (nom, photo) et — seulement si vous l’autorisez — votre e-mail, uniquement pour vous authentifier et personnaliser votre expérience. Nous ne vendons pas vos données et ne les partageons qu’avec les vendeurs et chauffeurs concernés pour réaliser vos commandes. Vous pouvez supprimer votre compte et vos données à tout moment en écrivant à support@kayahaiti.com (voir notre page de suppression des données) — suppression sous 30 jours.
